Holistic Wellness and Mindfulness
Holistic, wellness, and mindfulness approaches to mental health are more about flourishing than solving problems. While our holistic approach incorporates everything from working with nutritionists, psychiatrists, psycho-pharmacologists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists, it is our work in wellness and mindfulness that aids our clients in smoothing out their reactions to life’s rough edges.
Wellness work incorporates regimens of physical exercise, nutrition, yoga, acupuncture, forming a connection with the natural world, and self-care. This is a body-oriented approach lending itself to healing a mind-body connection.
In addition, to encourage mindfulness and awareness, we teach various styles of meditation, ranging from transcendental meditation (Vedic tradition, mantras) to insight meditation (Vipassana, sitting practice), and other methods to learn compassion.
